Advancements in Isogeny-Based Cryptography: A Mathematical Approach to Post-Quantum Security
A. Soni, S. Singh, A. Chaturvedi
A deep dive into isogeny-based cryptography as a post-quantum candidate. We pin down where SIDH and SIKE fall short on security and speed, then introduce a new isogeny pathfinding algorithm — using graph theory and probabilistic models — that cuts computational complexity while improving both efficiency and security.
Isogeny-based schemes are attractive for a post-quantum world, but SIDH and SIKE carry real security and performance baggage. Our contribution is a pathfinding algorithm that leans on graph theory and probabilistic modelling to cut the heavy computation — making these systems more practical to actually deploy. Full details and results are in the paper (DOI above).
